Give Thanks in London!

Last year, my fiancé (now husband smile) and I were looking for a different way to spend our Thanksgiving holiday.  Tired of our usual tradition of turkey with all the trimmings and generally feeling stuffed and lazy, we decided it would be fun to embark on a quick European getaway.

We chose Virgin Vacation’s Thanksgiving in London Fling and for around $600 each we had a great long weekend trip in the city of pomp and circumstance!  The package included round trip economy air on Virgin Atlantic, three nights’ hotel accommodations, and continental breakfast daily.  The price did vary depending on the hotel you picked, and we chose the Queens Park Hotel and were very pleased.

The Queens Park Hotel is in a great location in central London close to Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park and the Theatre area.  Even though our room was a tad small (which is typical of many London hotels), it was tastefully decorated in a modern décor.  Another plus is the hotel is conveniently located to tube stops making it easy to get around the city.

Although a three-day vacation is very quick, we found it was enough time to see some of the major sights and get a real flavor for the city.
