Minimoon Travels: Don't Let Finance or Lengthy Time Off Be a Factor
I got married a little over a year ago, and my wedding followed a lot of time off of work, from bridal gown fittings to relocation to going over the last minute wedding preparations. While I could have taken a lengthy honeymoon immediately after the wedding, there were time constraints, and above all, financial constraints.
Sounds like your story too? Why not take a mini-moon instead?
Make your minimoon short but memorable to share those first traveling moments together as a married couple. Take a 3 day trip in San Jose, Costa Rica, a 3 night fling in London, 4 day escape to Geneva, Switzerland, or stay local and enjoy Universal Studios in Orlando for as long as you want.
You’re certainly not obligated to go on a lengthy honeymoon right away, contrary to popular belief. (I still haven’t gone on mine yet!) Later, when you’ve built up those vacation days and have finished counting your wedding money, you can go on a longer trip (Australia, anyone?)
