1000 Places To See Before You Die!
When I first heard the title of the new Travel Channel series inspired by Patricia Schultz’s best selling travel book – I was excited. I loved the book and I think of it often when I’m planning my travel jaunts.
The new series, premiering on March 29 will chronicle the journey of a young couple who put their lives on hold to travel the world utilizing Schultz’s book as their primary guide. While they don’t end up seeing all 1000 places (purportedly they visit 100), it does promise to be an educational and fun journey.
The lucky couple chronicled in the series was chosen from over 900 couples. They planned the fourteen week, whirlwind journey to more than thirteen countries worldwide. Each episode of the series will take viewers to one of thirteen amazing locations including:
• Peru
• Alaska
• Vancouver
• Mexico
• Brazil
• France
• Italy
• India
• Nepal
• Cambodia
• Hawaii
While at these countries, they visit well know tourist sites like
• Machu Picchu
• Eiffel Tower
• Taj Mahal
• Venice Canals
• Robben Island
• Alaskan railroad
I’m really looking forward to the series because through this couple, the viewer will experience every new place from a real, first hand perspective. Local experts and guides were reportedly consulted about insider information and area history. I’m sure the series will be visually amazing and inspire thoughts of travel in every viewer. It will probably also provide some great insight about what to see and do when you visit some of the many locales.
So, if you’re a travel buff, which you probably are since you are reading this blog, check out what promises to be a great journey!
